Traditional Chef Salad
The perfect salad for picnics.
Serves 4 |
|2 eggs, for hard boiling |
|6 cups mixed salad greens |
|1/2 cup chopped ham |
|1/2 cup chopped turkey |
|1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
|2 red pepper, diced |
|12 pitted black olives |
|1 cup Italian salad dressing |
| Water, for boiling |
- Place eggs in a large saucepan with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes. Drain eggs and rinse with cold water. Cool completely. Peel eggs and slice in half lengthwise. Set aside.
- Place salad greens in a salad bowl. Arrange turkey, ham, cheese, red pepper, eggs and olives over greens. Toss together.
- Drizzle dressing on top and enjoy.
