Peaches With Caramel Sauce

Serves 4


4 peaches, pitted and sliced
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons butter
1/4 cup evaporated skim milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. To prepare caramel sauce: combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Mix well. Cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly (Or until sugar dissolves) Increase heat to high and cook, without stirring for 5 minutes. (Or until mixture turns golden)
  2. Remove from heat. Add butter and swirl pan until butter melts. Stir in milk and vanilla until blended. Stir in peaches.
  3. Cook mixture, over low heat, stirring frequently, until peaches are tender and sauce thickens slightly (About 10 minutes)
  4. Spoon peach mixture into individual bowls and enjoy!
