Cranberry Sauce with Orange and Pineapple

Serves 2 Pints


1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup water
4 cups fresh cranberries, rinsed
2 tablespoons orange zest
1 orange, peeled, seeds removed, and chopped fine
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup chopped walnuts


  1. Add sugar and water to a saucepan then bring water to a boil.
  2. Add cranberries, orange zest, chopped orange and cloves; simmer rapidly and stir often until cranberries pop open.
  3. Add cinnamon, crushed pineapple and walnuts; stir to combine. Cool then serve.
