Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Serves 6


2 lb pork tenderloin
12 oz root beer
1 bottle BBQ sauce, 18 oz.
6 hamburger buns, toasted
Butter, for buttering buns


  1. Place pork tenderloin in slow cooker, pour root beer into slow cooker. Place top on slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours.
  2. Let pork cool completely and using gloved hands, pull and shred the pork. Place shredded pork into a mixing bowl. Add bottle of BBQ sauce, tossing to mix sauce and pork together evenly.
  3. Transfer pork to a saucepan, heat to over medium and stir pork for about 5 minutes. Serve on butter toasted buns.
