Homestyle Meat Loaf
Home cooking at its finest.
Serves 6 |
|1 slice white bread, torn into small pieces |
|1 cup chopped onion |
|1 cup chopped green bell pepper |
|3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley |
|2 cloves garlic, minced |
|1 egg, lightly beaten |
|1 teaspoon salt |
|1 teaspoon black pepper |
|1 1/2 lb ground round |
|1/3 cup ketchup |
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- In a large bowl, combine bread, onion, bell pepper, parsley, garlic, egg, salt and black pepper. Mix ingredients together well.
- Crumble ground round over bread mixture and combine until blended.
- Coat a large loaf pan with cooking spray then pat meat mixture into pan. Spread ketchup over top. Place in oven and bake for 1 hour.
- Allow meat loaf to stand in pan for 10 minutes before removing and cutting into 6 slices.
