Grilled Tuna Steak with Red Pepper Sauce

Serves 2


1 cup canned roasted red bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1 tablespoon canned tomato paste
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tuna steaks
2 teaspoons olive oil
Ground black pepper, to taste


  1. Puree roasted red bell pepper, green onion, tomato paste, garlic clove and pepper flakes in a blender or food processor. Set aside
  2. Brush tuna with olive oil. Season tuna with black pepper.
  3. Heat grill to medium. Place tuna steaks on grill, cook for about 6 minutes per side. The edges should be beige with the center remaining red.
  4. Serve red pepper sauce over cooked tuna.
Season: Spring
