Cheesy Cheddar Jalapeno Hash Browns

Serves 6


1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
1 package frozen hash browns, 20 oz., thawed
1 sweet onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
Seasoned salt, to taste
Ground black pepper, to taste
Hot sauce, to taste, your preference, optional


  1. Combine cheddar cheese, jalapenos, hash brown, onion, garlic, seasoned salt and pepper. Mix together well. Form into 6 patties.
  2. Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Grease skillet generously with cooking spray. Place three hash brown patties in the hot pan. Cook for about 5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with remaining hash brown patties.
  3. Place hash browns on serving plates. Top hash browns with a few dabs of hot sauce and enjoy!
